Bob Hicks, President
Bob Hicks has been in the payroll industry for more than 23 years with experience in leadership, management, human resources, and more to give him a well-rounded understanding of what companies need out of their payroll and payroll tax software. Originally from Dayton, OH, Bob moved to the greater Cincinnati area in 1990 during his sophomore year at Thomas More University.
Bob’s passion for working with small businesses and helping them get the most out of their payroll services has kept him looking for innovative technology to add to Midwest Pay Link’s impressive HCM suite. He truly enjoys working with clients through the process of cultivating solutions that directly meet their needs and is on a first-name basis with many small business owners across the region.
When not at work, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years and their family of 3 kids and 2 dogs. You can often catch him playing softball for community teams or out on the links with friends on a Sunday morning.
Thomas Gamel, VP of Operations
Thomas Gamel was born and raised in Covington, KY, where he still resides with his wife of 5 years and their 2 young children. Like Bob, Thomas is also a dog person and has 2 local rescues that join him on his adventures in hiking, camping, canoeing, and other outdoor activities.
A 2010 NKU graduate, Thomas has been in the payroll processing and payroll tax industry for more than 8 years. He works behind the scenes to make the process smooth and seamless for clients transitioning to new services and enjoys seeing the process through to completion.
Detail oriented and devoted to perfection, Thomas is a problem solver and oversees daily payroll and payroll tax operation, working strategically with sales and marketing to develop beneficial new products and services for clients.

If you get a notice about a potential issue–they’re rare, but they do happen–we’ll take care of it for you. 95% of notices are sent in error and simply require someone to step in and deliver the necessary information to the right place.
